Weekly Hint 130: Open bee house in Merian Gardens

This Saturday, beekeeper Sabine Richli invites visitors to Basel’s Merian Gardens to watch her work, learn more about bees, and sample various kinds of honey.

Basel’s Merian Gardens are one of the most beautiful spots of the city at any time of the year, located on the outskirts near the St. Jakob stadium. The vast park provides many opportunities to go for a walk, sit down and relax, or just enjoy nature. This coming Saturday, 4th August, a special event awaits visitors: Sabine Richli, beekeeper of the Merian Gardens, opens the doors of her bee house. You can see how bees are kept and taken care of, how honey is collected, and taste the different sorts that are produced on site.

The Merian Gardens bee house is open this Saturday, 4th August, between 2pm and 5pm. Free entry. More information (in German) is available here:
