The Swiss sustainability festival has become an important touchstone to raise awareness of topics like food and water waste, recycling, or urban agriculture. This Saturday, 13th May, the 3rd eco.festival takes place on Barfüsserplatz and Theaterplatz from 10am to 9pm. The festival offers far more than just information: visitors can spontaneously join the cooking crew at the Foodsaver Jam or help to build an artistic structure from scraps. There is also a green city tour organised by the Basel Ecocentre, and bands such as Uhuru Sound Resistance and Xipenda will perform live music.
