While Augusta Raurica in Augst (BL) is beginning to prepare for the 2017 Roman Festival at the end of this month, the open-air museum and exhibition site also offers various activities outside of the official event. One favourite among children and adults alike is the Roman games afternoon, where families learn about everyday objects and games used by citizens of the colony thousands of years ago. The next games workshop is scheduled for this Sunday, 6th August, and begins at 1pm. Free entry, donations welcome.
