For the next three days, Basel’s exhibition square is becoming a culinary world centre: At the 4th Basel Street Food Festival, classic and creative dishes from Jamaica, Denmark, Mexico, Hungary, the United States, China, Germany, India, Australia, and many other countries are offered freshly-made. There is also a bar with international drinks, music, and a beer tasting stand.
Most food stalls offer smaller portions which cost between 5 and 7 Swiss francs, and the maximum price for one dish is 13 francs. Other than that, the entry to the festival is free.
The 4th Basel Street Food Festival starts this Friday, 21st April, at 5.30pm, and is open on Saturday from 11.30am to 12am, and on Sunday from 11.30am to 7pm. More information (in German) can be found here.
