“It has never been easier to be unfaithful”

The test-management agency MMSM from Freiburg in Germany has big plans for the region and has distributed 1000 flyers in the region to lure Swiss people into a faithfulness test.

She knows my favourite bar, knows that I love beer and football but also like to talk about literature, and that Coldplay is my guilty pleasure. Before meeting me she already knows that I am affable and open. She knows exactly what she has to say to avoid failure. But where did she get this information? From a ‘faithfulness agency’ who has hired her to test me. And the agency? They got their information from my girlfriend who has doubts about my honesty and therefore recruited a ‘flirt’ professional to see if I would be unfaithful. Can I resist if everything works so fine and is tailored exactly towards me?

Of course the limits of this test have been defined by my girlfriend, so my chances of landing in bed with this ‘flirt’ professional to see how she pulls herself out of that situation with a “performance” are not very good.

For Murielle Schmid the aim is clear: “First, I want to emphasise that the focus of our MMSM test-management agency is on honesty, loyalty, and faithfulness. Values which - unfortunately - get lost more and more in business and private life in our fast living society. This can also be seen in the large amount of cheating websites and chat rooms.”

In the focus of the “flirt professional”

It has never been easier to cheat, she says on request of barfi.ch. Therefore, faithfulness must be tested. The entrepreneur says: “We are the good angels and bring clarity by getting rid of the torturing uncertainty. A faithfulness test doesn't have to end negative.”

However, it is not very cheap: The “classical teaser test” costs 400 Swiss francs. But there are different “complete bundles”.

A flirt professional who tests faithfulness via chat or social media costs only 160 francs and contains 20 flirt dialogues. Through this simple measure the case must either be clear or a customer has to pay more. With a good reason, says Schmid: “Uncertainty and doubts can hamper one's life up to psychological diseases.”

In the service of paranoia

Schmids faithfulness-agency works with paranoia: Nowadays all channels on the Internet offer something for all tastes. Whether it is an affair, flirt or ‘multi-culti’ cuddle: in cyberspace, this is allegedly only a few clicks away. Nevertheless, the longing for the traditional faithful relationship is not dead. And this closeness between two people is allegedly threatened by all these temptations and maybe also hidden desires. These fears are the income of the agency from Freiburg. It may be that it has never been so easy to cheat but it also seems that it has never been so easy to spy on someone.

Mother from Basel sends 12-year-old daughter shopping across the border - at night

A mother living in Basel sent her 12-year-old daughter to a shop across the German border to Lörrach on Saturday night, according to police. The police reported the incident to the social service authorities.

The girl was found at a train station in Lörrach shortly after 10.30pm by the police, according to a statement from the police headquarters in Freiburg. The statement said the police became suspicious after noticing that the girl was not dressed for the temperature. Also, the 12-year-old was carrying many shopping bags.

The mother who was contacted by the police did not show any insight and criticised the police for taking her daughter to the police station.

Comprehensive renovation works at west wing of Basel SBB train station

After erecting the temporary facilities within the given timeframe, the comprehensive renovations of the west wing of Basel SBB train station started last night.

Due to the complete closure, trains to and from France will be diverted to other platforms at the SBB. The work is expected to last for around three and a half years.

In order to provide shopping and self-catering possibilities, shops will be moved from the west wing to temporary facilities. Most of them will open tomorrow at the same time while the west wing closes down, among them the Migros supermarket and gourmessa in the main hall. Also, the biggest temporary facility for the Swiss and French customs officers will move to platform 35. The temporary homes of Lüdi Coiffure and Drinks of the World will be open tomorrow morning.

Kiosk, Migros Florissimo, and Migros Take Away will be opened directly at the entrance of the west wing. Since the move will only be possible when the west wing is closed, they will open on 31 May.
